This book is organized by focusing on less well-known personalities both of the Old and New Testament, ranging from the well-known to the less recognisable. Special boxes provide a more in-depth analysis of specific themes, such as the sacrament of baptism and John the Baptist, or sexuality in the Bible and the story of Tamar and Onan. The book also includes double-pages that highlight important biblical passages, or emphasize certain religious themes that are central to the Bible. Page reference boxes in each section give line-by-line references to any other relevant figure or story. Page references set within the text and on the bottom of the page provide even more guidance to the reader.
